Bio

Randy McGravey has been playing music since he was a teen and has a Bachelor's degree in Music Business from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He has been teaching guitar lessons since 2012 and currently teaches for the Lunenburg, MA school systems, as well as Pepperell Community Arts (Pepperell, MA). He has published over 7 books for guitar and ukulele which are available exclusively on Amazon. Randy also teaches bass and ukulele.

Aside from teaching, Randy has also had international success composing and licensing music for TV and advertising. Some of his credits include music on Magnum PI, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, NASCAR, SpongeBob SquarePants, Snapped, Pawn Stars, commercials with Safari Chocolate Cookies (Norway), KAYAK, and much more.

 

Randy has been in various bands over the years and currently performs as a solo guitarist/vocalist, with The Randy McGravey Band, and with Worcester-based cover band Mint. Randy has performed all over New England as well as parts of Tennessee.

 

In addition to live performance, Randy is also an accomplished studio musician. He recorded on singer Lexi James' "Brave" EP in Nashville, TN with Grammy award winning producer James Stroud and Grammy award winning sound engineer Julian King in January of 2016.
